Jerome Fisher and Vince Camuto founded Nine West in 1978 , after there wholesale shoe business known as FisherCamuto corporation was incorporated. Historically Nine West was one of the first companies to create there sexy shoe made with leather in Brazil ,by 1970 Jerome Fisher and Vince Camuto had sold over a million pair of shoes. Named for its location 9 West 57th Street, New York City, in 1983 the first store opened in Stanford Conneticut , by 1986 the company launched its first national ad campaign.
