Over the past 60 years high heels have fallen in and out of fashion, during the late 60′s and 70′s lower heels were preferred, by the late 80′s and early 90′s high heel pumps were making a comeback with the shape of the fashionable heel changing from tapered to stiletto. Today Pumps high heels are commonly worn with evening wear and for dancing, they are rarely worn for everyday purposes.

When walking in a heel it is best to walk toe to heel not applying all of your weigh to the back of the shoe which could cause the heel to crack or break.
